A Drabble

Spock looked at Christine. Christine looked at Spock.

"Was there something you wished to tell me, Nurse Chapel?" he asked, in his usual courteous but detached manner.

Christine gulped. This was going to be a lot harder than she thought. He looked so handsome in his uniform, too ... she just didn't know HOW she was going to tell him. It was so embarrassing, but SOMEBODY had to do it ... She sighed.

"Mr. Spock," she began, trying not to blush. "I don't know how to tell you this ... this is so difficult. You know I have the utmost respect for you ..."

"Yes, Nurse, I am aware of your feelings towards me," Spock said, raising an eyebrow impatiently. Surely, this was not going to be yet ANOTHER declaration of her undying love for him.

"Yes, sir, I know you are," she whispered as her cheeks turned bright red in embarrassment. "That's what makes this so difficult for me ... "

He sighed. "Perhaps if you just said what you had to say without 'beating around the bush' as you humans are wont to say ... " She nodded once more, and took a deep breath.

Okay, mister you asked for it, she thought, and she looked him straight in the eye.

"Mr. Spock ... your fly is open."
